Its Independence Day this weekend and I want to know what everyone is doing! Are you hanging out at home, are you going to the lake, are you going to your friends or families house for the holiday weekend? Is anyone going to a big fireworks display, parade, or concert?

As for my family, we are going to my parents tomorrow for a family BBQ! Unfortunately, due to our excessive heat and lack of rain in the past couple of weeks, our city has a firework ban for this weekend.  This stinks because 4th of July isn’t the same without fireworks but I guess we will have to make do without them.

This weekend is about celebrating our independence! July 4, 1776 was the day we got our independence from Great Britain. So during our celebration of freedom, try to take the time to remember our fallen soldiers past and present. Also we should make a shout out to all of our present troops over seas for all the hard work they have done and are continuing to do for our country!
