If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and 99 cents to spare, you need to purchase the game- Doodle Jump. I’ve been hooked on this game for 2 weeks straight and don’t see myself stopping any time soon; the game is too addicting to let go. The more friends you have playing, the more it fuels your desire to keep going. Not only am I in a constant battle to beat my highest score, but I’m also trying to keep my score higher than my friends. Doodle Jump brings out that competitive edge that most gamers have in them.
The objective is simple- jump from platform to platform while avoiding monsters, black holes and UFO’s. My only advice (which I’m still trying to master myself) is to be as relaxed as possible while playing it; constantly looking at your score while playing the game will only mess you up! For example: I tend to only beat my high score a 1000 or so points at a time because whenever I see that I had just beaten my score I get nervous and fall off the platform, no matter how easy that particular part of the map was. One strategy I’m trying now is to use masking tape to cover up the score, that way it’s impossible for me too look. My husband JB’s strategy is to go to the bathroom while he plays- I guess he feels it’s the most relaxed he will ever be, and considering he does have the highest score out my friends his tip might be more helpful than mine.
Now before I end this blog with a little clip of myself reacting and playing Doodle Jump, let me warn you… as much fun as this game is it can turn the sweetest of people into raging maniacs that abuse their pets in the process. But isn’t that a sign of an awesome game? You find yourself harming your belongings and sometimes yourself, but still are so drawn to the game you can’t stop playing it.
Hopefully if my blog hasn’t convinced you to buy Doodle Jump, my video of having a blast playing it will.
Enjoy!
