I have lived in San Diego my whole life and finally go the chance to attend Comic Con. Not only was I super excited it was in my back door, I couldn’t wait to finally be attending such an awesome event. This event was a huge success! There were thousand upon thousands of geeks, cos-players and of course there were us Dolls. Not only did we get to meet tons of new people, we got the chance to be up close and personal with a few celebs. There was everything from comic books, the most amazing art and long, long lines of people, everywhere. We had all of the Dolls in attendance along with six cadettes and we also had the chance to meet up with some old friends. I put together a cool video for you guys to see exactly what we got to do and see the weekend of Comic Con!

Starting my own business is one of the many goals I have set for myself. When I started thinking about being my own boss, I then realized all the different ideas I could dabble with. Then it dawned on me that there are so many entrepreneur’s who have based there products around the gaming industry.
Starting your own business seems like a lot of hard work, but most of these business owners below, are gamers themselves. I bet you most of the entrepreneur’s on the list below would tell you there ideas came from there own experience and love for gaming. If I started my own business, it would have to be something I loved to do and gaming seems like a pretty good option to explore.
Audio
Astrogaming.com
Trittonusa.com
Turtlebeach.com
Astro’s are by far my favorite headset brand. I just recently got the A30’s and the sound quality is amazing.

Clothing Companies
jinx.com
kiaeneto.com
gameplayertees.com
The clothing companies are my favorite from this entire list. It’s always fun to sport around a cool tee, with gaming related designs.
Food and Beverage
Bawls.com
gamergrub.com
Gamers and LAN centers are what took the company Bawls, to where they are today.
Jewelry
Deadly Pretty Designs
The above link has xbox and gaming related jewelry, super cute and a great value.
Lessons
gamingworkshop.net
progamertraining.com
Gaming lessons are probably the easiest way to make money. The only equipment needed for this is a basic website and console. Many pro gamers who do this still go to school or have two jobs.
Controllers/ Accesories
Evilcontrollers.com
shopgripit.com
I hate when people use modded controllers, but evilcontrollers.com has made some controllers for people with disabilities. Gamers who don’t have full use of there hands or arms, can get a controller made to their specifications.
Music
danieltidwell.com
Videogameslive.com
Daniel sells his cd on his website.
The list could go on and on. I just mentioned a few, so you could just see the wide variety of businesses associated to gaming. Gaming has a huge market. People are more than willing to spend money on the things they love. Maybe some time in the future, I will start a company based around what I love.

One question I get often from many people who know nothing about our world is “What is it like to be a gamer?” My reoccurring response to them every time is simply: “It’s amazing…!” It’s even harder to explain to my non-gamer friends what I do who only think of me as their nerdy friend. I love it though! Gaming always makes for a great conversation; no matter who you are or where your at you will always find someone to talk about it to. Gaming has opened many doors and I have met a lot of wonderful people.
My personal adventure began when I was little and was addicted to Mario Kart, Golden Eye and Conkers Bad Fur Day, I was obsessed. I didn’t really consider myself an actual gamer, until the release of Halo II. I spent many countless hours learning the new controllers and mostly how use the two analog sticks to even move around. Two toggle’s equaled a disaster waiting to happen- at first. Once I overcame the controls I took it to another level and played none stop. I had never had so much fun when I began talking to random people, across the world, about anything and everything. From there it’s history: I met other female gamers, joined the PMS Clan in 2005, and I am now here writing to you as a Fragdoll in 2010.
In my years of playing online, I have competed in multiple tournaments and attended many events. I competed in the MLG Circuit from 2006-2009, WCG in 2008, and coached multiple teams. I have also dipped into sponsoring some teams and I love being able to share my love of gaming with others. Helping other teams represent their skills was an amazing experience, but I also look forward to competing in the future and broaden my own tournament skills in other games and genre’s.
As for events, I would have to say PAX East has been my favorite to date. I met so many cool and interesting people at PAX and the swag was amazing! I once went to Blizzcon and felt completely out of my element, but loved seeing how much people really love their games. On a side note, I will never try WOW, so don’t worry. I’m here to stay. This past E3 was great! It was my first official event as a Doll and I felt very privileged to be able to attend. Events are always fun and exciting, but a lot of hard work goes into making them happen and I am glad companies spend time and money to make these successful. It’s always exciting to see games in their early stages and meet the people who actually make them. It also gives us a great place to actually meet up with all our online community friends.
When I am not gaming, I spend my time working a hectic schedule in retail, managing a bunch of princesses, for MAC cosmetics. These gals are all super girly, but I love every single one of them. I am defiantly the odd man out when it comes to them, but they all have their hobbies and passions too. When work or gaming is on hold, I like to spend time with the family. I come from a huge family of eight children from two marriages and I am the second oldest while my youngest brother is five. I love be able to buy my little brothers games and show off my skills to them. so they think I am the coolest big sis ever!! They always ask to play games when I am over and there is nothing like bonding through games. Kids are amazing and they are so lucky we have the technology we do today. I would have been blown away at that age with all the interactive games we have today.
I have a few goals in place for the next few months and can’t wait to show everyone reading this my adventures in making them succesful.
-I am currently saving to buy a bike and will be getting my motorcycle license soon.
-I will also be competing in the 2011 Miss California pageant, representing the city of Rancho Santa Fe. The pageant is an act of randomness, but how cool would it be if Miss California was a legit gamer? Think about it…I also want to make my journey’s as a Fragdoll very memorable.
-I want to learn how to do some cool video editing, so I can show you guys all the crazy things we get to do in a fun way.
In the end, I love that I get to represent females in the gaming industry, but I also get to represent the every day gamer. I know I am going to be a great asset to this team. Sarah and I won’t let anyone down! Peace, SiREN

That’s right folks! The final stop for the Frag Dolls on the Seagate Download Fest tour was anything but boring! The event began much as the last two had, but with a pleasant twist! Shedevil (or Faith), one of my fellow Frag Doll candidates from last year’s tryouts, came along to help pwn some BK’s in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 shootouts.
Along with Rhoulette and Brookelyn, we started off around 1PM taking on anything and everything that came into the Seagate tent. Just to make it fair, we even had one Frag Doll on the mic and only three of us actually playing. The cool part about these events for me is not only getting to hang out with Seagate, but also getting to check out the bands. We got to spend part of the time playing with and challenging them. One of the awesome bands that we hung around with at all three events was MuteMath. Greg, the guitarist, has honorary Frag Doll status! He would sometimes fill in for us when we needed a break.
Let me tell you, these events can get crazy! Beer, music and video games can make for some rowdy people! Whether it’s intense dodge ball fights with the Seagate beach balls, or some epic Frag Doll challenges, there’s never a dull moment! The end of the day for me always draws a fight in my mind about what to do - the best bands are always the last two, and I was trying to decide which one to see. In this case, Iggy Pop and The Killers were about to play. I was sooo tired after nine hours of pure pwning! This time Morgan was the voice of reason and made it very clear that it’s part of a good Frag Doll education that we at least catch *some* of Iggy Pop’s set. To my surprise, it was AMAZING! But not Christmas morning amazing, more like watching your brother get grounded amazing. Part of you is horrified, but the majority is watching like your life depends on it. I couldn’t tell you one word that he sang, or even if he was trying to enunciate, but what I can tell you is that Rock’n Roll is just that for Iggy – Bodily rocking and rolling all over the stage. I can only hope Seagate will continue to sponsor future events like this. It was truly a blast anyway you look at it.

I have been living in Seattle for a little over a year now and while I love living here, holidays can make me really miss home. Last year I flew out on Independence Day for WSVG Dallas, so I didn’t really get a chance to miss my family since I was traveling. The typical Louisiana 4th celebration would usually consist of copious amounts of Bud Light, turducken and maybe some crawfish etouffe. Add in a trampoline with a sprinkler and some soap and you have a party! I’m also used to fireworks being legal, even in city limits. I used to have to tranquilize my horses because they would freak out all night if I didn’t!
This year, however fun, I think is going to be quite a change! Max and I are heading over to E’s house for a sweet BBQ. It’ll be pork, side dishes, salad and cheesecake… I guess only partially clogged arteries for this 4th of July! The video games will abound in replacement of fireworks. I have no doubt that there will be the singing and Rock Band late into the night, as well as epic Halo and R6V2 battles. The greatest comfort to me, is not only will I have Max there, but PMS girls, some Gamer Chix, and of course a sprinkling of FD community with Stonelance (that’s right Stone, I shall call you Sprinkle from now on). All and all, however different, I think it will be a great tradition begun and continued for many years to come.
